Thi Lewis and Clark Fair seems to have brought luck. We may even be lieve one of its bunches of fruits is the Oregon Coast & Eastern railroad. Hot air relative to electing United States Senators by direct vote of the people is now in rdor. The direct primary law does not exactly fit the aase. In all the Portland newspaper talk about the proposed railroad' down tbe coast, from Tillamook-to Humboldt bay, California, Vaqiwna bay is nob men tioned.
