A statistician shows the average sal ary of an educated man to be 11000 per year, while that of an uneducated man is f 1.50 per day for 300 working days per year. Twelve years might be called a reasonable period of time to devote to studv, or about 2,160 school days, and this would allow the pupil about ten dollars per day for every day spent in scheol.
