JOHNSON ITEMS.
A number of young people were down
on the ocean beach theother day. Soon
after arriving the boys held the girls bo
near the water that the waves washed on
their feet and got them wet. Only one
girl was Huccessful enough to get one
young man out and hold him until his
boots were full of water. The party
eeemed to enjoy the outing, although
one of the number has been quite sick
since.
The way it thundered last right made
me think there are too many eastern
people here. I heard someone laujjhing
at the Johnson people. They bo seldom
hear such thunder that at each clap
they would jump and were ready to run,
for they thought a tree was falling.

How to Cure Croup.
Mr. R. Gray, who lives near
Amenia," Duchess county, N. Y.,
says: "Chamberlain's Cough Rem
edy is the best medicine I have ever
used. It is a fine children's rem
edy for croup and never fails to
cure." When given as soon as the
child becomes hoarse, or even after
the croupy cough has developed, it
will " prevent the attack. This
should be borne in mind and a bot
tle of the Cough Remedy kept at
hand for ' instant use as soon as
these symptoms appear. For sale
