Several of the young people attended the party ot Newport Monday evening. Miss Pygal! is reported on the sick list this week. The church 'lias been undergoing re pairs which were much needed. Simon Lentdun is running his launch in place of the steamer Richardson, which is laid up for repairs. Rev. Dawson will , hold service here next Sunday morning and evening. Miss Daisy Ferr of Oyster City was in town Saturday calling on friends. Letters received by Miss Pygall from Albany bring word that little Vern Blue is eeriously ill. The steamer Robarts called Saturday with her full allowance of passengers, among them being Mr. and Mrs. Eean of Mapleton, who are visiting at the home of C. Iloeflein.
