Mr. ''Mills has just recently returned from Paris, where . his company made a most comprehensive exhibit of the timber interests of Oregon and Cal ifornia. Mr. Mills says: . !'We have raised the price of our timber lands and have madescveral luge sales during the past week. In the presence of a first class mar ket, which is carrying off the tim ber at an astonishing rate, there is very little encouragement to adver tise. In 'fact my own ' opinion is, and that opinion is based upon ex tensive observation of the condition Of the forests of the Unittd States and Kurope, that a great market is rising for the timber lands of Call : . foruia and Oregon.
