Jones or his assistants. Mr.' and Mrs. J. W. Gunn of Portland were also in, and it is reported that Mrs. Gunn made the trip in record time and stopped frequently to take a shot with her kodak. Mr. Gunn got out alive, but was considerably wilted. Mrs. E. H. Bryant returned last Friday from her old home in Indi ana, where she went several weeks ago and remained during the last illness of her mother, who lingered for five weeks after hsr arrival. She was much, exhausted by the long journey and days and nights of watching, but greatly appreciated the privilege' of being with her mother during her last hours. She went to her home at Siletz Satur day. Mr. and Mrs. William Toner and two sons of Yaquina passed through yesterday, en route to Rock creek for an outing. Mr. and Mrs. John Turner of Albany will be with them. Mr. Turner, some of our readers will remember, is the C. & E. agent at Albany, who carried off the honors in a cake-walk at Newport last summer.
