site of tho Umpnua bridge nnd tho
work on tho piers will bo started In

that tho track has been laid north
from Coos Bay for a distance of eight
or nine miles and rails nro still lin
ing shipped from tho material yards,

Tho first four spans of steel havo
been raised on tho big hrldgo across
tho bay and within (JO days, the en
gineer says, tho piers will havo been
completed so that the rest of tho
