Near Accident. This morning, while n number of passengers woro waiting nt tho depot for tho train to pull out, nn nccldent occurred which might enslly havo resulted sor lously. Mrs. J. W. Rooke, who has boon visiting hero nnd was leaving on tho train, was standing on tho platform holding to tho hand rail of tho coach with one hand. Without warning tho train backed up and she lost her balance, but hold onto tho rail. Sho was dragged for sovoral feot and hnd It not been for tho presence of several friends who as sisted her, sho would havo fallon under the train. Get Fine llrlck. J. E. Wnlllng has received a number of samples of brick burned for him at Dutto, Mont., from six bags of clay that ho shipped from here for a test. He Is Interested In the Dutto brick yards. Tho clay burned fine, several different kinds being turned out. Some fine soft building brick, glazed brick and vitlrlfied brick were burn ed, Bhowlng that tho clay nt tho Summit, where ho Is building his plant can bo used for making tile, sewer pipe or almost any kind of brick.
