Somers wired Mrs. Somers that business call ed him to Seattle to wind up affairs and will return to Portland to make Alliance for Coos Bay Monday. I'lnnt Delayed. Owing to the large amount of freight to be un loaded and taken on, the M. F. Plant will not sail from here for 'Frisco until tomorrow at 10 o'clock. She brought up about COO tons of bitu minous rock paving material to com plete the street paving work here. Wants Divorce. Cora E. Mosena has begun suit for divorce from Jas. L. Mosena. The couple moved here from Bandon sometime ago and she alleges desertion and other grounds. She further claims that she does not know his present whereabouts. She asks the custody of five minor chil dren. Sometime ago, she entered suit for divorce but Judge Coke de nied her petition. Goes to Bandon. Tho Marshfield high school football team left this morning for Bandon to play the high school team there. The game will probably be played this afternoon instead of Saturday in order that the team can get back tomorrw. If vic torious at Bandon, as they confident ly expect, they claim the county foot ball championship will be clearly theirs. R. O. Graves accompanied the team. have had a Job outside of a grocery store. Marshfield Minstrels. The local Minstrel Company are perfecting ar rangements to put on an entertain ment on November 24 and 23. lloxer Coming. Johnny Herron Is in receipt of a telegram from Boxer Dougherty of Eureka saying he will sail on first steamer for C003 Bay to arrange a match with Fred Saxe. League Meets. The Marshfield Citizens' League will meet this eve ning to talk over municipal affairs At next Friday night's meeting, It Is expected that the league will decide on the candidates It will support for the various city offices to be filled this fall. Plan Masquerade. Tho Marsh field Redmen are planning to give a big masquerade here In tho near fu ture. Broke Leij. Gus Bingmann of the Smith-Powers Logging Camp on South Inlet, is at Mercy hospital with a broken leg sustained In a peculiar way a few days ago. He Jumped off a large log and In the dusk struck on a slanting root. His hob-nailed boots caught fast, turning his leg so that both bones were broken Just above the ankle. Not Much Comfort. According to the report here, the wife had sus tained some broken bones In the melee but at Llbby It was stated that It was merely a "scratching affair" that would probably windup in the divorce courts. Born Near Myrtle Point, Novem ber 8, 1909, to Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Stewart, a son. A Marysvllle, Mo., man has been sent to an Insane asylum for "exhi biting a violent affection for his wife's sister." Her arrival was a com plete and joyous surprise to Mrs, Avery who had received no Intima tion that her sister would visit her this fall. JOHN EKLUND of Eastslde, who has been a resident of tho Bay for tho past two years, will leavo on the Breakwater tomorrow for his old home In Finland. His wife and family resides there and ho de clares he will remain In Finland, but his friends declare that he and his family will bo on Coos Bay in side of a year.
