The dredge will bo towed around to tho Coqulllo from Coos Bay by the WII holmlna In a short time, where tha uppor works will bo finished and the. machlnory will bo Installed by W. C. Pennock who will havo charge of tha dredge and operato tho same. Wt C. Pennock has been running a steam scrapor cutting the bank of tho river down so that the dredgo can handle tho dirt, the bank belnc 16 feet hgh at -h' place. Tha scraping Is flnlsmed and ready for the dredgo, nnd work on drainage canal will commence as soon as pos sible. Tho first work will be tho dredg ing of a canal from tho river bank at a point threo quaters of a mile above Beaver Slough Into the section, corner, a dlstanco of C50 feet; thence north to Green Point.
