William Jennings Brynu In the couise of his Labor day address in Chicago exclaimed: "The labor question as it presents Itself at this time Is chietly a ques tion of distribution." ' In that brief proposition Mr. Bryan discloses one of his favorite remedies for the ills of the Democratic party Distribution is needed and needed bad lyby the Bryaniml Democracy The Nebraska pretender, who Insists that wealth is created by legislation rather than by labor, calls upon the grand ar my of American tollers to distribute vthclr earnings unions the managers of the Democratic campaign fund. By a score of sixteen to 0, the Marshfield High School football team defeated North Dend High School on the local gridiron Saturday after noon. The game was a good one do- , spite the muddy grounds, and the crowd, In which both schools were W(!n represented, was more than satisfied with the contest, stauff the BllbBtltuto for Russell , ,,, , ,, -. ., , , as f"uack on the North Bend team, ' piayeu tne star game lor tho visitors. Tho North Bend team llaS many new men in the lineup this season and I they are not quite rounded into shape yet, but showed up well. Stuts man and Brlggs, two second-team men, made a good showing on tho local team. Bolt showed up well at .center for the local team, North Bend being unable to make many material gains by line smashes there. Rasmussen and Cllnklnbeard did some good tackling for Marshfield, and so did Lennon and DeVaul for North Bend. Marshfield kicked off to North Bend, but the latter was unable to advance the bair. Stutsman tackling effectively. On the second down, North Bend lost the ball on a fumble. On the fifth down, H. Briggs by an end-run crossed the North Bend line for a touch down. Rasmussen tried for goal but missed. On the second klckoff, Rasmussen prevented North Bend making any gain and tho ball went to Marshfield on downs. By a series of line smashes and end-runs, Marshfield scored again and again, Rasmussen failed to kick goal. On the next klckoff, Lennon and DeVaul did their st'ar tackling of the game. On a fake play, Ha'nsen got away and made a gain of fifteen yards and in two following plays Merchant and CTIkinbeard carried the ball well Into North Bend's territory, but tho game was stopped by time being call ed for the first half. In the second half, North Bend kicked off and Stauff kept Marshfield from advancing the ball. After a couple of fumbles, Marshfield lost tho ball, having failed to make tho requisite gains. The ball kept near the center of tho field for several" downs. Finally Cllnklnbeard gained' ten yards on an end-run, but MnrsUv field then lost the ball through a series of Ineffective lino smashes, the ball going to North Bend within a few feet of its line. A fumble resulted In the ball falling back of the- line with Rasmussen on top of It, scor ing again for Marshfield. Asplund kicked goal. With but two minutes to play, Ras mussen made twenty yards on an end run but North Bend then held them for downs.
