AT THE THEATHE.
"In the Shadow of the Cross," one
of the Standard Society dramas of
the day was the bill at the Ma
sonic Opera House last night. Miss
Harper's portiayal of ' Coralle" was
a stiong piece of acting, and she was
well suppoited by the balance of the
company. Tonight, the great his
torical diama "Nell Gwynne" will be
produced. The story is one of an
orange girl in the streets of Loudon
who, by her wit, good looks and fas
cinating personality, wins the heait
of King Charles, the second, and
finally becomes the ruler of England.
