Bend 6; wild pitches Thelle 1; passed balls Flanagan 1. Time of game Two hours. Umpires Dr. Gale and Al.- Felter. Notes of the Gatiie. Al. Felter and Dr. Gale, umpired a fine game and deserve a great deal of credit for taking what Is usually such a thankles Job. There was al most no kicking, and the players as well as the, bleachers were pleased with the decisions. Thlele pitched his usual brilliant game allowing, but three hits and getting ten strike outs. Ho used a change of speed with good effect, but as Marshfield had a good lead from the start he didn't feel that It was necessary to do tiis best all the time. Owen's fielding was of the sensa tional kind, getting two put outs and an 'assist in one inning. Of course, he made his usual hit but this time It was only with the ladles. From the spectators' standpoint, the game was not as interesting ns the Coquille-Marshfleld game of a week ago, but as to the final result was much more gratifying to Man ager Mickey and the boys. McCutcheon returnejd this morning just a little too late to participate In yesterday's game, but he will be in the game next time and much to the gratification of the fans. Dlmmick showed up well at first and while he failed to get a couplo of ground balls, he made up for It with the stick. Charlie Keane played star ball for North Bend as did Kelly and Manion also. Jako Goldle has decided to keep off the team for a few games until he fully recovers from the effects of the awful jolt that Pitcher Wilson gave him at North Bend a few weeks ago. Ho is still a little nervous when fac ing the pitcher, tho still sore jaw unconsciously compelling him to MANY BROUGHT TO COOS BAY step back when he swings. Marshfleld had a chance to score Mrs. M. J. Fanmon, Mrs. Perch, E Nome City and M. F. Plant Ar rive From Portland and San Francisco. The Nomo City arrived this morn ing from Portland with a capacity load of passengers and about four hundred tons of freight, Including some heavy machinery for the Coos Bay Gas and Electric Company. She will sail for Portland tomo'rrow after noon at 3 o'clock. It Is expected by Captain Olson that the Alliance will bo ready to resume her run next Sat urday night so that the Nome City can return to tho Portland-San Pedro run. The Nome City's list was as fol lows: L. Bjorkman, A. L. Duke, Elmer Miller, Cora L. Eddy, Fannie" T. Montgomery, Mrs. Chas. Weiser, Chas. E. Weiser, E. W. Rossiter, Jno. Hubers, Albert Lutonsky, E. Plant's passenger list was as follows: E. Moraja, D. McNeil, Vivian Tay lor, Mrs. Stewart, E. Pollixfen, Mrs. Pollixfon, Mrs. W. S. McFarland, REALESTATf TRANSFERS in the sixth, but with a man on sec ond and third, both Cowan and Dlm mick failed to land hard enough on the ball though both hit the ball well. Again in the seventh Marsh fleld had a good chance to score, but good playing by North Bend kept out the runs. COQUILLE and BANDON ROW. of Clubs Disagree About Locution Game and Fail to Play. The management of tho Coquillo and Bandon teams clashed yesterday ui to the location of Sunday's game tnd in consequence, no game was played. Bandon insisted that the Co quille team was to come there and Coquillo insisted that Bandon was to come to Coquille and each claimed that the schedule showed each was right. Bandon didn't piny and Co quille played an exhibition gamo with Johnson's mill. Tho matter will probably be left to tho executive com mitteo of tho league to decide. GAMES ON FOURTH. Coquillo Defeats Mni-hhflcld anil Itmi. .don Defeats North IJejul. The exhibition games at Coquillq, July 4th, resulted In a victory for tho valley teams, Bandon defeating North Bond In the forenoon by a score of 6 to 1, and Coquillo defeat ing Marshfleld in the afternoon by a score of S to 5. Both wero good exhibition games and tho big crowds, wero more than satisfied. Tho lineup of tho teams was slightly changed on all teams, each saving up their batteries for tho rcc- ular league games on Sunday. Bryan of Marshfleld caught for North Bend In tho morning and Gaffney of North Bend pitched for Marshfleld In the nfternoon, Bryan catching in Rut ledgo's place.
