The meeting was devoted to Byron and Shelley, a paper on Shelley and his works being read by Mrs. Tower and another on Lord Byron and his works by Mrs. D. W. Small. Fol lowing the papers, there were a number of readings by members of the club of selections from the two authors. The next meeting will be held with Mrs. I. Lando Tuesday afternoon, May 2G. This will be the annual meeting and it will be mark ed by the election of officers. The presentation of "The Messiah" which will be under tho auspices of the club will also come up for discussion. Tho date, while not definitely fixed will probably bo in about three weeks. It is proposed to issue hand some souvenir programs of the event.
