It will tend to restore public confidence everywhere to have it known that the Harriman Interests pnrposo to go to work again building new lines and mak ing improvements upon old trackage, says tho Kimono Daily Guard. For the Northwest It moans the completion of many projects includ ing the Drain-Coos Cay branch and Natron extension from Eugene to Klamath Palls. Thousands of men will 1)0 put to work again and it Is more than likely that the sawmills of this section will soon receive orders from tho railroad that will enable them to resume on full time. The railroads aro said to use prac tically one-third of the cut of tho mills, and it was the complete shut down of railroad work, following tho financial flurry, that was more responsible for tho slump in tho lumber market than any other one causo. Taking all theso matters into con sideration, the meeting at Salt Lake City spells prosperity to the North west, thiough tho development that will come fiom tho building of now railroads and tho effect that it is likely to have upon tho lumbering industry.
