m. A. SWEETMAN IS HURT
Breaks Three Ribs in Fall on Boat
Charles Russell Hurt on Jaw
"Steve Brodo's" Big
Junii.
The night was dark, the wind blow
cold,
And all was dark and drear,
The sea gulls e'en had gono to fold,
As though possessed with fear.
"Twas such a night as no'ers been
seen,
In many a long long day,
The night that "Stevo" In dress suit
clean
Fell into Coo3'es Bay.
Twas a glad crowd that left the dock
On Kelly's boat that night,
A fullfllled purse, each of that flock,
And spirits keen and bright,
On pleasure bent, all feeling good,
To North Bend sailed away,
And little thought that Stephen
would,
Fall into Coos'es Bay.
Stove's clothes were wet, his hair
was wet,
Wet to the skin was he,
Dress shirt close to his body set,
A pathetic sight to see.
Full forty fathoms went ho down,
It seemed a good long way,
Tho night that Stovo in North Bern
town,
Fell Into Coos'es Bay.
