James S. McMcMeen, a re
spected citizen and pioneer resi
dent of Crook county, died today
in the hospital at Prineville of
cancer, after an illness of ten
months, during which time he
submitted to two operations.
Deceased was a native of Ohio,

in Madras the latter part of the homestead near Lamonta, where
