While the building destroyed was not of any large value, Mr. Smith had stored in it a large lot of curios from most every country under tho sun, which had been sent him by his parents while on a tour of the world, and these were valued at in the neighbor hood of $1000. A man was liv ing at the place and the fire originated from a defective Hue.' Rain to the value of a million dollars or more has fallen over Crook county this week. and crops which were beginning to suffer for the lack of moisture are bounding forward with the prospect of a bountiful harvest.
