Lnmontn Line Reaches Madras
Tho laBt link in the Lamonta
Farmers telephone line, reaching
from the S. S. Brown ranch at
Haystack, to Madras, has been
completed, and a central office
will shortly be established at
Snook's drugstore. When this
is done this line will furnish
means of communication through
Prineville to all parts of the
southeastern portion of the
county and will also -connect,
it is understood with the
new Agency Plains line which is
now under construction, from
Madras to Mecca, on the De
schutes river,, at which point
connections will be made with
the line through Warmspring Re
servation. The ultimate plan of
all these connected lines it is
said io be to make a through con
nection to Portland with the
"Home" line.
