Attorney-Oeneral Crawford rendered an opinion recently in which he upholds the validity of the law forbidding the peddling of medicines without a licens . The title of the act sets forth that its purpose is "regulating the practice of pharmacy and the sale of poisons in the State of Oregon." The Attorney Gen eral holds that requiring traveling ven dors of medicine to procure a license is a part of the regulation of the practice of medicine and not a separate and distinct subject, and is therefore germane to the subject expressed in the title. I have Uken in most every thing at the fair and find the Mineral, Horti cultural, Agricultural in fact all ex hibite were beyond mv expectation, es pecially the stock exhibits, they being by a long way the best I have ever seen I have been told by some people who visited the fair at St. Louis, that the stock in better than it was at that place. One should be able to spend at least four days on the grounds to be able to see all and we find that by one's taking time to procure lodging and take their meals at any place they choose, it need not cost more than at any other time. I have seen people from all parts of the world. The attendance seems to be exception ally fine, and indications are that it may continue, so I would say to those who can spare the time and expense to be sure and visit the 1906 fair at rort land or they may regret that they did not later on.
