WEBB. In Roseburg, July 27, 1903,
Mrs. Percy Webb, aged 27 years, of
heart trouble, after u lingering illness
of several months.
Deceas-ed was the wife of Percy Webb,
1st Sergeant in Company E. 0. N. G. of
this city. While she has been ill for
some time nothing serious was feared
until Monday night when she began to
grow worse and about half past ten pass
ed away. She had lived in Roseburg all
her life, and was the daughter of Mrs.
E. Moflit, of this city. Besides her
mother and her husband, she leaves two
children aged seven and three respect
fully : five sisters and two brothers to
mourn her death. They are as follows :

Miss Grace Murray, formerly a teach
er in the Roseburg Public School, but
now principal of one of the Baker City
schools, arrived Tuesday evening and
will spend a few weeks visiting Miss
Violet Bird and Mrs. J. F. Peebler.
S. W.Bell, of Elkton, arrived Mon
day evening and will spend a short time
visiting his son, proprietor of the Kandy
Kitchen. He was accompanied by his
daughter Mineta, who has been visiting
at the family home at Elkton for the
past two weeks.
Mrs. Ray Wright and little son, who
ha-e been visiting at the home of Smith
Bailey, returned last night totheirhome
in Grants Pas. Miss Ruth Patterson
accompanied them and. will remain in
Grante Pass tor a short time visiting
friends.
The body of Charles McGowan who
died last Sunday evening, was shipped
east on Monday evening's local. Brief
funeral services were held at the under
taking parlors and the body was escort
ed to the train by members of the Royal
Arcanum, "W. O. W., Lilac Circle and
Artisans lodges which shows the high
esteem in which Mr. McGowan was
held among us.
