RAILWAY UNIONS TO UNITE. Ottawa, Out. Nov, 20: x railway union, to include the conductors, engiueers, fire nieu, brakeuiau and telegraphers of the Canadiau lines, will probably result from a conference in session today. The prospectus gives as one of the objects of the union the combining of the strength of all these orders, whose head will be a British subject, so that when grievances occur the men will not be subject to the humiliation of being refused assistance by the railway management on the ground that their representative is a foreigner. ' It is proposed that the orders in the Dominion sever their official connection with those of the United States, though maintaining fraternal relations. MISTAKE CAUSED A TACOMA BANK FAILURE.
