Graham to the effect that be had settled his case with Spreckels, that Hassett had re signed and that arrangements had been completed for putting the road through to Roseburg, and that -work would be commenced by June loth. While the report comes from a reliable source, its correctness is not vouched for. Last weak while visiting at Drain we called on the genial and obliging propri etor of the Drain Roller mills. We were very pleasantly entertained and shown tbrougli his mill, recently erected at Drain. The mill in a gem of beauty aud utility, one of the uiuit thoroughly built aud equipped in the country.
