The Board ot Health may, whenever it may be deemed necessary, employ a physician or skill and experi ence to visit and examine persons sick with any contagious or infections disease, or to certify to cause of death of any per son, and to advise said Board of Health in any matter relating to the Health o Town Such physician shall receive such compensation as the Board of Ilea th may consider reasonable, subject to the appro val of the Board ot Trustees. Sec. 4. The Town Marshal as Health officer, shall cause all casss of Asiatic cholera, Smal -pox, Variola, Diphtheria, Scarlet fever, lj phiml fever, measils and other dangcious or contagious diseases, brought to his notice, to be examined by a physician, when so ordered by the Board of Health, and report the result of such examination to the Board of Health. Said Health officer shall be vigilant and active in detecting and removing all causes of disease, aud shall see that all persons violating any ordinance ot' s.ud Town of Jacksonville In relation to the preservation ol the public health, arc duly prosecute, cl.
