Th" managers of the Fortlmid Mechanic' Fair and Industrial Exposition, leaKz ingtheimportance of thi; notable event, so loon to be consummated, are ar ranging to uiake the Fifth Annual Exhibition of the Industries and Re sources of this Great Noithwest one that will bo commensurate with the occasion, and to this end they earnestly nsk the hearty cooperation of every one interested in the development of the wonderful resources which nature lias bestowed upon us with so bountiful n hand. While the purpose is to nmke this specially an exhibit of the In dustries of Oregon, Washington, Idahr, and Montana, yet with that liberal Bpirit that is in lceepin; with the patriotism that binds us together ns Btates and ten itories, the invitation is made as broad as our common country, and most cordially do we inite all who are interested to cooperates in making this exposition one that will be of great value to every interest repre sented. No pains will bo spared by the management in taking care of those who may honor the exposition with an exhibit, and visitors will be supplied with erery convenience for their comfort. It is the purpose of" the Board of Managers to have an extensile display of the latest improved machines, in full operation) representing-sll depart ments of industry, and to this end motive power, steam and water, will be supplied to exhibitors without cost. The display of Agricultural product": will embrace a full collection of the diflerent-cereal., fruits and vegetable- grown here in such luxuriance and ubundanc. Special efforts nro being made to have the department of Mineralogy, embracing the minerals of Olegon, Washington, Idaho and Montana, tin most complete ever made, and that this display may be all that it is de sired it should be, the management earnestly asks the assist uce of those interested in this most ra'uahln pnrt of our country's wealth to make con tributions of specimens to this depot t ment.
