E. church to-morrow at the usual hour. Subject, The beauty and purity of the Masonic E.mblems. The Fourth. The people of Jackson and Joseph ine counties turned out in mass to celebrate the Fourth. They congre gated in Bybee's grove at half past Ion A. M.-, to listen to the exercises ol the day as arranged by the committee. First, prayer by the Rev. Sludmorc. The Declaration of Independence was read by J. W. Stanley. Mr. Stanley lias a flue voice, and read with great .clearness and force. The Hon. Binger Herman delivered the Oration. The oration is spoken of as being a very fine production, and prized as one of the best that has been delivered in ibis place in-many a year. Mr. Herman, though a young man, Is a fine orator, and is destined to make his mark among the 'first lights of the State, and that, at no distant day. , After the .oration, the Foolkillers performed for the amusement of the fcrowd. Tho boys performed their Ji.-trt well, and made mirthful laughter ting from both old and young. Thin' followed the dance in the bower house, vhcre a goodly number participated in tripping tho light fantastic to'e. There wcrethrec swings and ciirlit Ice-cream stands on the ground. As the day was reasonably cool, not much ice was needed, however; but it was Well enough to have it on hand, as a few from the country brought some tanglefoot with them that needed tooling. Upon the whole the day passed off very pleasantly, and wound up with a .lousing dance at Home's Hall. Installation- I. 0. IX. SI. At a regular meeting of Oicgoman Poca hontas tribe No. 1. , I. O. U. M., held at their Lodge in Jacksonville, July 2d, 1872, the following duly elected officers were regularly installed by P. S. E. B. Watson: John Cimborski, a.; W. II. McUauiel, S. ft.; James r. Corporal Brooks, who was arrested by the militry authorities for "killing Sargcant Marony at Fort JKIamath, was turned over to the civil .authorities, a few days ago, and was .examined before Justice Wade, yes terday, 5th inst, and discharged npou ithe ground that he was justified in the billing, as he did it in self defence. ' It is a sad thing to pass through life only half alive. Yet there are thou sands whose habitual condition is one of languor and debility. They com plain of no specific disease; they suffer no positive pain ; but they have no relish for anything which affords men tal or sensuouspleasurc. In nine cases out of ten this state of lassitude and torper arises from a morbid stomach. Indigestion destroys the energy of both mind and body. When the waste of nature is not supplied by a due and regular assimilation of the food, every organ is starved, every function inter rupted." - Now, what docs common sense suggest under these circumstances of depression"? ;. The system needs rous ing and strengthening ; not merely for an hour or two. to sink afterward into a more pitiable condition than ever (as it assuredly would do if an ordinary alcoholic stimulant were resorted to,) but ladically and permanently. How is this desirable object to be accomplished ? The answer to this I question, founded on the unvarying experience of a quarter of a century, is easily given. Infuse new vigor into the digestive organs by a course of Ilostelter's Stomach Bitters. Do not waste lime by administering temporary remedies, but wake the system up by recuperating the fountain head of phys ieal strength and energy, the great organ upon which all the ot'ier organs depend lor their nurture and support.
