That would oidinarily be considered a fine showing in itself, but it is entire ly outclassed by the main showing In the tunnel. The big ore body, 20 feet wide, and, so far as proven, 125 feet long, averages from 4 to 5 per cent, copper, and from 14 to <5 in gold. Estimating copper at 12 cents a pound, which is considerably below its real value, the ore Is easily worth <15 a ton as it lies in the mine. “The showing underground, howev er, is not the only surprising thing about the property. The ledge has been staked for the length of 16 claims, and has traces strong and vig orous over the mountain for four miles.
