Wheeler, Republican candidate for Vice-President, is in favor of remanding the South to mili tary rule. Stanley Mathews, brother-in-law to Rutherford B. II tyes, Itidicd nomi nee for Congress, is for enveloping the Southern States in martial law. Rutherford B. Hayes is for keeping a standing army in the South until every Southern State votes the Repub lican ticket. Morton, Butler, Chandler, Logan, Packard, Grant and Spencer, are for applying the sword to every white man’s throat and the torch to every white man’s roof who declines to vote the Republican ticket. And wherefore ? That the Republi can party may continue to rule the country at a cost of $800,000,000 and the Republican leaders may be pro tected from the yawning doors of fifty penitentiaries. We have never vet seen a case of Spavin, Sweeny, Ring-bone, Wind-gall, Scratches or Poll-Evil, which this Liniment would not speedily benefit, and we never saw but a few cases which it would not cure. It will cure when anything can. It is folly to spend $20 for a Farrier, when one dollar’s worf h of Centaur Liniment will do better. The following is a sample of the testimony produced: “J efferson , M o ., N ov . 10, 1873. “Some time ago I was shipping horses to St. Louis. I got one badly «-rippled in the ear. C attoria is the result of 20 years experi ments, by Dr. Samuel Pitcher, of Massa chusetts. It is a vegetable preparation as effective as Castor Oil, but perfectly pleas ant to the taste. Il can be taken by the youngest infant, and neither gags nor gripes. Dr. A. J. Green, of Royston, 1 nd., says of it: S irs :—I have tried the Castoria and can speak highly of its merits. It will, I think, do away entirely with Castor Oil ; it is pleas ant ami harm e s, and is wonderfully effica cious as an aperient and laxative. Itis the very thing. The Castoria destroys worms, regulates t te Stomach, cures Wind Colic, and permits of natural healthy sleep. It is verv effica cious in Croup, and for Teething CTiildren. Honey is not pleasanter to the taste, and Castor Oil is not so certain in its effects. It costs but 35 cents, in large bottles. J. B. R ose & Co., 46 Dey St., New York. FOR SALE.
