tion" is just a little behind the polic
ical and moral progress of these
time. Democrats, Republicans or

Harmony" with the Civil Rights
bill, the Force bill and the postoffice,
express jobbery bill, is not a desira
ble position just at this time. Re
publican principles are very good
and we indorse them them, but they
lire the shadow now,while legislation

for the year, 309.

now, and real estate is changing hands dai
ly. The reason is that Washington county
hfts the best lands and nearest tha market
for tho least money that can be found any
where in the State. Immigrants should vis

dollars, and feel confident that the
