A Woman Miner.
Jefferson county, Montana, Iim a

not only owned, but orated by a
woman. The mine is situated on
Willow creek, and the fortunate
owner in Mm. KobinHon. Although
Bhe is 73 years of age she has done
all the work in developing the
property herself, carrying out the
ore and waste upon her back.
ThiB Bho has been able to do from
the fact that tho shaft is on a
mountain incline and comparative
ly easy of ascent. She has been
doing this steadily for two years,
and apiwars to have lost none of
the faith with which she started.
If any assay has ever been made
of the ore taken out, it remains a
Becret with the owner ; but the out
side world is very willing to be
lieve, from her evident faith, that
she has a bonanza.
