McAllister, the boy who shot and killed his father, Richard H McAllisP r.wbile he was asleep in bis cabin Dear Woodvillc, Jaeksoii County, on the night of July 2nd last. His trial will come up nt this term of couit, probably commencing next week. Young McAllister is only sixteen years of age, and diminutive iu size. He made a voluntary confession to District Attorney Colvig, a few eveuings since, in the presence of witnesses, in which he acknowledged having committed the murder, and says that bis mother, who resides iu Lane county, in structed him to kill bi fuilu-r and then re turn home. Each of the smaller cables weighs three tons, so that Ibe fourteen sill aggregate forty-two Ions.
