The Lane County Democracy Ratify Their Nomination. mt t Last Saturday evening the Democracy of Eugene City and Lane county hald a meet ing for th purpose of ratifying the' nomina tion of Clevelvid snd Hendricks. At 8 o'ejock the Eugene Brats Band commtnued playing a lively tune in the West Park, and anvils near at baud were alto booming, In a short time a large crowit had colleoted, and were sddressed by Hon R B Cochran, L Biyen, B F Dorri and J E Fenton. Their remark ware well received aud cheered lustily. At thecloieof the meeting three cheer were given with a will for the next Presi dent aud Vice President, G rover Cleveland and Thomas A Hendricks. After th Sheriff closeJ the (tore Tuesday Aaron Lurch got on th train and (tanked to Portland or some other land, but Wat arrested by the Sheriff of Linn county at Albany, on a telegram from Sheriff Campbell, on th charge of forgery. H wa brought to thi place Wednesday by th Sheriff and taken befor Justice Kinsey. H was charged with forgery on O S Chrisman and E R Luckey's notes.
