There are 7,225 8tar routes, and on many of these only three letten a week are carried. On no fewer than ninety fhree of these rootet Brady, the cham pion Star-route and others who acted M joints to his tail, "expedited" mat ters at an expense of $2,802,214, in stead of for $727,119, the sum former ly paid. The amount of $3,087,786 was left for the remaining 9,132 routes. On these Brady, says the San Francisco Examiner, got in his "expedient" work in the small sum of $55,246.
