C. athletes for use of the Orc gonian.to illustrate a write-up of the col lege athletics that will probably appear in that paper next Sunday. Mr. Lanka is clever and artistic and all his work is highly creditable. Dilly doesn't d?.lly. He is alwa3"S duly doling out new ideas in making and mending. He is the best fixist this siae of San Francisco. This office ca- fully recommend his mechanical ability, hav ing tested it on several occasions. He makes bicycle matters a specialty. The only fault with Dilly is, lie charges too little for his work. A. D. Hill, of Hurron, S. D., is visit ing his half brother, Norm Lilly, near this city. Mr. Hill was register of the land office at Hurron until recently, hav ing beeu appointed by Cleveland. He is a. democrat, but voted for McKialey, and believes in the maintainence of the g Id standard. Mr. Hill is delighted with the Willamette Valley and expects to make j a general tour of the coat before return- I ing home. L. Pa-.l, who have been as related with the Gazette for more thai three years, as proprietors, with Mr. Johnson, as editor and man ager, and Mr. Paul, as foreman, have re tired from the business. The have dis posed of their entire interest in the Ga zette Publishing Comp-.ny. Under their direction the Gazette his grown and prospered. The circulation has thribled and patronage in other di rections largely increared. W hen Mr. Johnson was appointed postmaster he c. included to dispose of his interest in the paper, and Mr. Paul desired a larger field. Negotiations with the present owners were entered into the first of the year, but the sale was not consumated until recently. Mr. Holgate, who has filled the editor ial chair since the first of the year and continue as editor and manager and Mr. Henry Stuart will be foreman of the office.
