Ho dis cussed the question "Ar Other Worlds Inhabited by Intelligent Beings?" and his conclusions were rather ia favor of tha affirmative.'' The subject was pre sented in a bright, interesting light. The Cosmopolitan has been' running a series of articles by prominent edueators, discussing the question, "Docs modern college education educate in the best sense of the term?" In the December number Lawrence A. Smith, professor of the German language and literature in New York university, has an article tak ing the affirmative.
