But most of his weight coming on his feet, the boues of both ankles were driven up causing one of th worst forms of dislocation. K. Harris's store. TPE OREGON PACIFIC RAILROAD YAQUINA BAY. At the monthly meeting of the Council of Linn Countv Grange, held at Grand Prairie Grange, No. 10, on Saturday, April 2, 1881. Mr. Wallis Nash attended by special invita tion and delivered an address on the the present position of tbe enterprise, and spec ially explained the plana of the engineers for carrying oat the improvements now in prog ress at Yaquina Bay. After full discussion the following resolutions were unanimosly adopted : Whereas, it appears that the 910,000, jnst appropriated by Congress in support of the works for the improvement of Yaquina Harbor entrance, if not sufficient tprovidc for the vigorous prosecutiou of the work, and Whereas, the completion of the improve, ment is an object of deep interest to tbe whole of the farming population of the Wil lamette W alley, and especially to the far mers of Linn county, because of the import ant influence of the improvement on the completion of the Oregon Pacific Rtilroad connecting the Willamette Valley with Ya quina Bay, and Whereas, the Council deem it desirable at this juncture to m ike a puplic united ef fort in aid in this object, therefore , Rsoloed that steps be taken by this Coun cil to call a public convention of the farmers of the valley counties at Albany, within the next twenty-one. days, to adopt such steps as m"ay appear best to prove the public in terest in this object, and to contribute to its attainment. And that measures be adopted to call public attention, ud to arouse one common effort to this end. And Resolved that a public convention, for the above purpose, of all interested, be called at the Coat House in Albany, on Thursday, April 21, at 10 a. M- And that these reso lutions be advertised iu the Valley press. In this eity April 4th 1881 Arthur J. son of Wallace aud Addie . Baldwin, aged two years five months and twenty days. Seldom has one whose life was so brief, surrounded himself with so many friends, Livingjin a central part of town, many passers by would see Arthur at pity on the lawu iu front of the house, and the instant remark would impulsively follow, "what a pretty child", and even perfect strangers could scarcly refrain from addressing him with a pleasant word, which was always answered with such winning sweetness that the heart instinctively went oat to him as to one we love.
