FUNERAL OF HON- W. B CARTER
The funeral of the late W. B. Carter,
State Printer and editor of the Gazette,
took place in this city at 3 P. m. on Moniay,
the 26th in at., from the city hall, under the
auspices of Corvallis Lodge No. 14. A. F.
ana A. M., ot which he had long been a
zealous and honored member, R. P. Ear-;
hart, M. W. G. M. of the State of Oregon,
officiating. At 12 o'clock m. the casket was.
uncovered at the late residence of deceased,
and the friends and the public were allowed
to visit and view the remains until 3 p. m.,
when they were taken charge of by the Ma
sonic fraternity and carried to the city hall.

claiming a future existence in spirit life as a;

to the recent murder case, of which an
