There are only ttco lind- ieals in tho valley, one of them being Mr. Pickett, formerly editor of tho AUrtwy Jour nal. How ofte.v do you hear the complaint from mother and father that their son or daughter is not well ; that they havo no ap petite; that they feel languid; that their bead aches ; that they aro growing thin and feeble, and that they have no life or energy Neft. That they are low-spirited, and per- fectly incapacitated to participate in any pleasures, or perform any mental or physical duty. Puie blood may be compared to pure water, and impure blood to muddy water. If you pass mud dy water through muslin you soil it ; continue the proceeds and you cover it with thick mud. Blood passes thro.'Jgh all parts of the body; if good and pure it nourishes and cleanses the parts it goe through. If i'npure it leaves more or less dirt be hind it Buasdeth's Pills are tho medicine wanted, because t.iey are made on purpose to take dirty humora out ot tho body, and they never fail. These pills cure scrofula, even of forty years stand, ing; they have cured cases of rheumatism when the patient had not walk ed for four years ; of par alysis where the legs bad lost their power of move ment tor seventeen yca,rs. The evidence in1 these cases cannot be disputed. Js there a town in the world where t uch evidence exists not ? If Bbas dretb's Pills bave been much used there we know that such evidence can be found. Bat be sure and see upon each box my name in the Government stamp, in white letters. - - , B. J Gestlemr : The watches manufactured by you have been ia use on this Railroad for several years by our engine-men, to whom we furnish watches as part of our equipment. There are now son Three Hckdred or them carried ox oca hint; and we consider them GOOD AND RELIABLS TIMEKEEPERS. Indeed, I havsj great satisfac tion In saying YOUR WATCHES GIVE US LESS TROUBLE, and havo worn and do wear much longer without repairs than any watches wo have ever had in nse on this road. As you aro aware, wo formerly trusted to those of English manufacture, of acknowledged good reputation, but as a class they never kept time as eorreoily, nor have they done as good service as yours. In these statements I am sustained by my pred ecessor, Mr. Lewis, whose experience extended over a series of years. Respectfully, EDWARD WILLIAMS, General Superintendent. American Watch Company, Waltham. NEW YORK CENTRAL RAJUtGAD. Locomotive Depart est, Westers Diyisio, Rochester, Dec. 24, 1866. J Gentlemen : I bave no hesitation In saying1 that I believe the great majority of locomotive en gineers have found by experience that Walthajs Watches are the most satisfactory- of aay for their uses. They run with the greatest acccract asd steadisess, notwithstanding tho rough riding of an engine, and, as I have kevea ksowh ose to wear out, they must be durable. I hope to see the time when railway companies will generally adopt your watches, and furnish thorn to all engineers and conductors. In my opin ion it would greatly tend to promote regularity and safety. Yours respectfully, CHARLES WILSON, G. Chief Engineer. Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. American Watch Company, Waltham.
