Brother Demas Beach, after a iiiio-eiing and painful illuess. has been ealfed from our midst and summoned to the presence of the Supreme Ixnlge above. His membership in this Lodge is cotempo--tram-ous wii h the existence ot the Lodge Itself, hoi having united with it as a charter member, and continued his affiliation until death struck tlie cruel blow. He was a consistent christian, an anccuonate Hus band and father, a kind neiglibor. a good citizen, and a true and steadfast Odd Fel low, than which a more noble tribute can not be conceived. With the tears of the bereaved wife and family of our deceased Brother, we mingle our sincere sorrow in this severe affliction ; but we bow with meek submission to the willoS divine prov idence in removing our Brother from among us to receive the reward of a well spent liie, believing that; whatever He do- Leth, He doeth for tlie best.- We should re member that "the living of to-day become the dead of the morrow," and that in the providence of God none may escape the dread sentence, and so deport ourselves in this life that when the final summons shall reach us. none may bo found unprepared to meet it. Asa token of respect to the memory ot our deceased Brother, it is recommended that the Lodge charter be draped in mourn ing for the space of thirty days; that the members of the Ledge wear the usual badge of mourning for a similar period, and that a copv of this tribute, under 'eal of the Lodge, be furnished to tlie widow ot the deceased.
