In cooperation with the Texas com pany the Metropolitan Opera Guild is organizing Guild Listening Groups to promote interest in the opera through its publication of the magazine "Opera News.” and through other educational work. Each week material exclusively for these groups is prepared by Edward Johnson, general manager of the Metropolitan Opera com pany. It includes a synopsis of the an unique particular opera.
