North Plains was on the losing end of the first no hit-no run game to be seen yet this season. With Kerkman doing a bang-up job behind the plate and with the rest of his team backing him with excellent performances on bases and in the field. Ruecker struck out 14 Plainsmen and walked only four. once to successfully feed a double play. No errors were marked against the Blooming squad while four went on the record against North Plains. Automatic forfeit of these games, Softball Commissioner Pete Schu kart commented following the meeting, follows a discovery by the commission that a member of Verne's team has been playing in both the Hillsboro and Forest Grove leagues.
