Berry Season Around Buxton At Its Peak BUXTON —Local Berry Growers have had all the pickers they could get busy the last couple of days in a "last minute rush the berries possible relers believing they due to the shortage of barrels. Bar rels have been received and pick ing is on regular schedule again, however. In the hills the crop is just approaching its peak while the peak is past on the lower ground. June 22. at 8:30 p. m. A variety program is being planned by a committee headed by Mrs. Jean O'Connor. Mrs Gertrude Schappert of Rosedale is in charge of refreshments Mrs. W P. Brooks is general Red Cross chairman for this community. An active com mittee will handle tickets in both communities, and it is hoped that everyone will be ready to do their bit.
