The girls in session passed a resolution opposing the use of girls' pictures being used on cigarette advertisements. It wax also voted to have girl» lead in discussions at the meeting , rather than adult leaders. Dr. Melliken of Portland was the principal speaker of the confer ence. On Saturday morning a very interesting pageant was giv en, with a representation of pio neer days in Oregon, Sacajawea and Dr. McLoughlin being two of the characters portrayed.
