A very successful school term closed last Wednesday with a picnic dinner and games. (Too Late for La-t. Week) The C. E. held a party at the home of Abe Yungen Friday night and nil responded to th<- request that they would dress old fashioned. The school teachers took the prize, both having lovely white <lr< -ex with high necks, tight waists and a long train. This reporter can’t say that they looked comfortable, however. Several of the girls wore dresses touching the ground and looked quite grown up. The evening wax spent in playing old fashioned games ' and after lunch had been nerved they joined in singing old Bongs. , Miss Margaret Bunger wax chair- man of the social committee. Mrs. Shields was a neighbor of the Davidson- when they lived in Montana. Mr. and Mrs. John Schneider and Emma and Gottleib were visiting at the D. Tschabold home Sunday. Henry Tschabold is riding around in a recently purchased Ford coupe. Mrs. P. Zurcher, Mrs. M. Waeffl- er, Sr., Mrs. A. Tschabold, Mrs. M. Tschabold were visiting Mrs. Hager last Tuesday. She has improved and is able to be up again. Mias Matilda Thoenen, who has been visiting at the J. C. Wenger home for some time, has gone to visit friends in California. Mixa Freda Korn, who is in Cal ifornia, has been in the hospital for a long time and is now slowly improving. Miss Ellen Simonson of Portland was a week-end visitor at the Guer- ber home.
