FINDS FRIENDS
Ex-Congressman Rainey, of Illi
nois, spoke at the Chautauqua
last Saturday evening, and his
lecture was a real treat. Mr.
Rainey is well versed in govern
mental affairs and knows his sub
ject. The Prangers, of this city
and Leisyville, were in to hear
Rainey, they having been aup-
porters of the gentleman for
years when they resided back at
Carlinsville, 111. They had quite
a visit during Rainey' short stay
here and the distinguished visitor
was very pleased to find some real
"home folks" out here in Oregon.
