Dr. J. O. Rohh reported to the
Hillsboro Club Tuesday evening
that there might be a chance for
Hillsboro to get the. Portland San
itarium located at or near Hills
boro as the Institution must gel
a new site. Dr. Robb was ap
pointed to Investigate the affair,
and was authorised to select his
own committee. The Doctor
thought that a site ottering might
be of some avail ami will get in
touch with them.
A. C. Shute, chairman of the
cannery site committee reported
that ho had secured an additional
$100.
It was voted that boys between
the ages of IS and 31, with con
sent of parents attached to their
applications, could become asso
ciate members of the club on pay
ment of $2.50 and 80 cents
monthly dues,
The committee on signs, Mr.
Garrett chairman, reported that
the welcome boards at either ap
proach of the city would soon be
in place, and that money hat! been
subscribed by the business men in
payment of the work.
M. II. Stevenson, of the school
board, talked on the school hud

defeated by the Beaverton Seoul
in a basketball game Friday nigl
by a score of 27 to 10. The score
at the end of the first half wa 19
to 2. During the second half the
Hillsboro scouts held the Beaver
ton scouts to 8 points and mad
8 points themselves.
