HOP HARVEST CLOSES BY Notwithstanding Rains There has Been no Mold Appearing BAliLEY YARD FINISHED YESTERDAY Product is Piime and Nolhioj Injured by Precipiiatiua Washington County's hopcrop will be saved by Saturday night in nearly every yard in the sec tion, and the crop is prime in every respect The rains did no damage, and there was no mold in evidence even in the most un toward locations. Wet weather delayed the picking here and there, but as a matter of fact the delay was not costly, as many of the hops were none too ripe at the start The Bagley yard of 100 acres finished yesterday morning, and the pickers were all paid off by noon. The Kay yard and the Hostetler yard, at Iieedville. have finished, and barring a few small fields, where picking did not begin until Monday, the har vest is now safe. Buyers are traveling all over the district and while there is not the activi ty in prices disDlaved somp wppLs ago, the demand is sufficient for a good investment for all grow ers of the vine that is used by the brewer and housewife.
