veying and platting 100 acres for
W m. Brogden, east of town, and
near hewell station. The new
sub-division will be known as the
"Brogden Acres." The plat is
a part of the old Geo. smith do
nation land claim and is very
likely property.
Geo. Alexander, running a
transit' on the Central Oregon
road now under construction, and
who is in the Madras section, re
cently sent to Hillsboro two pairs
of the handsomest. Indian cloves
vet seen here. The work and
decorations surpass that general
ly turned out by the Swashes.
The Oregon Railwav commis
sion has given out notice that
tney will take up complaints
against the freight charges of
the Southern Pacific, at Salem,
April 28, and they have sent out
word to the various commercial
clubs and board of trades, advis
ing them that if freight charges
to their cities are not properly
adjusted to send representatives
to the session. The local board
of trade has been notified, and,
if shippers have any grievances
they should make them known
at the meeting.
Dissolution Notice
Notice is hereby given that the
undersigned, doing a meat mar
ket business under the name of
Moore & Hoover, have this day
dissolved by mutual consent. Mr.
Hoover has retired from the
firm, and Mr. Moore will con
tinue the business. All nersons
owing the old firm will settle
with Mr. Moore, who will pay all
claims against ' said firm of
Moore & Hoover.
