The big event waa won by Oregon Kid, E. B. Tongue, own er and mount. The Kid went up against tbe best of them and was an easy winner. This horse has been winning the hurdle races with ease, but the Portlanders wanted to get his scalp on straight riding. The Kid has been under Fortune's traicing for a few weeks and be went into the string "fid aa a fid dle." Tongue won the Mrs. F. 0. Downing cup and the Hunt Club cup at this race. in the eeven furlong race E. B. also won, riding "Our Cboice,"mak ing two events to hi credit. T.
