Luther, died at the family home in South Hillsboro, April , 1005, from congestion ol the brain, super- nduced by overetudy. the boy waa bright in his studies, and was in the "A." class, Seventh Grade. He was bom near Mountaindale, AuRUat , 1801, and the family moved to this city several years ago. Walter Turner, who receivly visited'with Couuty Treasurer Jack eon and wife, died the last of the week, in Portland, sunposablv from heart failure. Mr Turner epent the evening at hia home in com- oanv with L. L. Lanaley, rormeriy of Fort at Grove, and when they de parted he retired for the night. The next morning he did not put in his appearance at the Goddatd Kelloy Shoe Co., where he worktd and Mr. Goddard telephoned the hospital, thinking perhaps Turner's wife, who waa under treatment at the place, waa worse. When ap prised that the husband was not there Mr. Goddard went to the home in East Portland and found the houBe locked. He forced an entrance and found Turner dead in bed. Goodmurphy disposed of some furniture which was not his prior to his departure, besides get ting money from other sources, under false pretenses. Goodmur phy pleaded that he did not know that he wa9 violating the law and offerer to pay those whom he bilked. which ha did, and also paid the costs of extradition, and was allow ed to depart, a sadder, but wiser man. It insure only two-third of the actual cash value of property, aud rejects any inferior, un safe risks.
